If Bob is really good at making hammers and Alice is a nail making genius, they can get further by sticking to their specialties and trading - better and cheaper hammers and nails for all.

    Yes, but is it the same when Bob has no skill and neither does Frank? Their only tradeable commodity is that they are alive, and provide labor. What is more, the harder all the Bobs have worked (and therefor the richer Bob's country), the more Franks will arrive.

    My point is that I can understand Bob's point, but I don't think that killing Frank is the answer.
